In 1967, I picked up a guitar by the neck to play. The neck was the deciding factor. I bought it. In 2021 I picked up a guitar by the neck to play. The neck was the deciding factor. It was the same energy 50 years later. I chose my manufacturer by the neck, Rudder Guitar wants more speed, reach and comfort with our necks. Our neck qualities are a combination of all our features working together in harmony for speed, reach and comfort. The PeaceMaker, JoyMaker, JoyMaker Deluxe, and LoveMaker are a bit different than your standard West Coast and Tennessee Favorites. All three models have the same neck scale of 24.562 and other modifications. The RG neck is a hybrid combining CNC and skilled luthiers working on the neck and fret board. The result is The Rudder Guitar Neck that is like a friendly handshake you remember for life.   

Hug Me Body

When you need a hug, pick up any of the Rudder Guitars. All of our models come with the Hug Me Body cut. She hugs you just right! The extended cutout gives support and strengthens your back.

12 O Clock High Feature  

12 O’ Clock High Features allows your hand to freely travel further down on the neck without making your hand and fingers crush together. Your fingers are relaxed above the 12th Fret giving you something new. Relaxing makes string bends easier all the way to your last playable frets. Your finger speed is increased with more spacing between fingers causing less friction. All this action above the 12th fret when playing those iconic riffs. Once the shorter scale and my fingers finally crossed paths, we wanted the fastest and easiest reach on neck possible. Therefore, we gave all three of our models the same neck specifications. The difference is knowing from engine noise, road vibration, wheel vibration, etc. making you aware your speed is over 100 MPH in your regular car. When the officer who pulls you over in your sports car asks you to hand him your flying license and you reply I did not realize my speed in this car! Guitar players

Rudder Guitars Have the Same Muscle Memory.   
Rudder Guitar is aware different style guitars have different muscle memory. I had this problem playing in our praise band. I go straight to the correct fret. For example, I need to play high E. RG muscle memory takes me to the 12th fret not the 11th or 13th on all models. RG has the same neck for all models. The same RG Neck re-enforces your muscle memory when playing any of our models. The different features on the different models create their own unique sound making performance an easy transition.  
  Spoke Truss Rod Wheel 
We have Graph Tech Spoke Truss Rod Wheel at the base of the neck of the JoyMaker, JoyMaker Deluxe, and PeaceMaker. My first guitar and all Rudder Guitars now have a spoke truss rod wheel at the base of the neck. This allows for quick adjusting - even if you can’t find your hex wrench. 

4 Bolt Neck with Extra Strength
Our 4-bolt neck pocket is cut deeper to allow for the 12’O Clock High neck reach. This makes for a larger cutout and therefore stronger neck to body fit.
